Queensland is divided into many different Council areas also referred to as Local Government Areas. You might be aware that some Council areas were amalgamated in recent times.
It is important to know which Council area your property is located in. The easiest way to find this out is by reviewing your rates notice as this will be issued by your relevant Council. For a quick search a list of some common suburbs are included below:
